During October Half-Term the Museum will be open Mon-Sat.

Education Volunteers

If you are interested in developing your skills in education and interpretation, why not join our team of Education Volunteers.

You will have the opportunity to get involved with a broad range of programmes - working with the public, helping to deliver education workshops and special events. We will also help you to develop your skills to support our schools programme and guided tours.

Volunteering is a great way to build your CV and develop your skills. Our volunteers get museum training in a whole range of areas including object handling, education delivery, interpretation, working with the public, and health & safety at work.

You don’t need any specialist knowledge, but you do need to be age 18 or over, with plenty of enthusiasm and a genuine interest in cultural spaces, natural sciences or education. Volunteers make a real difference to our  museum and are a valued part of our team.

If you are interested, send us an e-mail with a brief outline of your experience and interests, why you would like to volunteer for us and what you hope to achieve. E-mail: [email protected]
