Museum Hire Facilities

Our impressive Grade 2 Listed museum is located near the bustling harbour and Clocktower, minutes away from Torquay town centre.

The museum offers a unique location for conferences, meetings and events and has a choice of 3 rooms to meet a wide range of needs; from a small boardroom meeting to an auditorium seating 190 with high spec presentation facilities.

If you are planning an evening event, the museum’s exhibition galleries can be hired for exclusive use, allowing you to create an event with a difference - from champagne receptions in the Devon Farmhouse or Explorers Galleries, to intimate dining in the Forbes-Julian Room or the Library.

If your event is held in the museum during the day, your guests are welcome to explore the museum free of charge - a great way to enjoy a lunchtime break.

The museum offers competitive rates for room hire with a selection of different catering options from small groups wanting a room for 15 - 24 people through to conference facilities able to accommodate up to 135 people.

Our prices range from full day room hire from as little as £85.00 for a small room facility holding up to 24 people, through to a full conference facility room hire, for a full day at our special corporate rate of £495.00 for up to 135 people. We offer a day delegate package which includes 2 tea / coffee breaks, buffet lunch and room hire from £18.00 a head for up to 80 delegates.

Our museum team is here to help you in any way we can and we will work with you to make sure that your event is a success from start to finish. If you would like to come and visit the museum and conference facilities to see what a great venue it could be for your next event then contact Torquay Museum on 01803 293975 or by email on [email protected]

A mobile stage adds further flexibility for presentations and the room comes equipped with AV equipment, including audio loop. The room has a folding, acoustic partition, allowing the space to be divided into two sections for smaller meetings or seminar groups.

Used without the seating, Pengelly Hall is an ideal exhibition space or perfect for a formal dinner for larger numbers.
