12 Month Return Tickets: Terms and Conditions
- In these Terms, The Museum is The Torbay Museums Trust, a registered charity based at 529 Babbacombe Road, Torquay TQ1 1HG with registered charity number 1025390; Email: [email protected] Website: torquaymuseum.org
- Admission Tickets are issued in exchange for donations to Torquay Museum at the published rates. As a charitable donation, your contribution may be eligible for gift aid at no further cost to you and we encourage all donors to provide the relevant details to enable us to claim Gift Aid on their donations. Choosing to gift aid your donation will enable the Museum to benefit from an additional 25p from the UK Government for every £1 of your admission.
- If you agree to Gift Aid your admission as part of purchasing tickets online then, in making this donation, you confirm that these tickets have been purchased for you and your family and that you are a UK taxpayer and have accepted that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations then it would be your responsibility to pay any difference. Gift Aid declarations can be cancelled by writing to us within 30 days of purchase.
- Your Admission Ticket irrespective of whether you have gift aided your donation grants free repeat visits for a period of 12 months from the date of your donation (“the Admission Period”). This means that after your initial visit you may use the Admission Ticket to make further visits during the Admission Period, subject to these Terms. This does not apply in respect of group or school bookings, nor to any ticketed events taking place during the Admission Period.
- You must present your original Admission Ticket and Return Visit Coupon on each subsequent visit during the Admission Period and you may be required to give your name and postcode to match up to our system, and/or ID.
- Admission Tickets are personal to the donor and have no monetary value once issued. They cannot be refunded, exchanged, extended, re-sold or transferred. All return visits must be accompanied by the donor.
- We reserve the right to refuse the issue of an Admission Ticket, or entry to any part of the Museum or to terminate a visit, with or without prior notice where it is reasonable for us to do so. In that event or if for any reason you are unable to visit, Admission Tickets will not be extended beyond the Admission Period, unless your initial visit has not yet taken place.
- Unless the donor states that their donation was provided for a specified purpose, all donations made to The Museum will be utilised to further any of its charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
- Opening hours are subject to change and at times it may be necessary to restrict access to any part(s) of the Museum. While we will endeavour to publicise any such changes you are advised to check our website and social media in advance of your visit.
