How can you help?

Generous donations from the public, our members and supporters, will allow us to continue our work, building our heritage and educational resources. A donation can be a one off payment or a regular amount paid at intervals that you find convenient and if you are a UK taxpayer you can increase your gift to the Museum by 25% simply by completing a Gift Aid Declaration. This means that for every £1 you donate we can claim a further 25 pence from the government making your gift go even further.

Every donation makes a difference. You can help us provide free trail sheets for young visitors, buy conservation materials to protect the collections, maintain our school education handling objects, contribute towards environmentally friendly interpretation panels and more.

Adopt an Object

One way to support the Museum is to adopt an object for a year. No matter what your interests there is something for you to adopt for yourself or give as a gift for a loved one.

The adoption costs £50 and it will come with a yearly pass to the Museum and our guidebook so you can visit your object or see our temporary exhibitions anytime you wish. We will also put a label with your name next to your chosen object.
