Converted Lantern

This unique lantern was originally a coopered oak spirit keg but it has been converted by the addition of an oak top and horn panels with a circular iron candle holder.

It probably dates from the early 18th century and is now on permanent display as part of our Devon Farmhouse Exhibition.
