calendar25th March, 2026 by Torquay Museum

Our new exhibition Torbay Tracks opens on Wed 25th March and celebrates the rich history of railed transport in the Bay and the pivotal role it played in shaping today’s much‑loved holiday destination. Created in partnership with Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Friends of Torquay Railway Station, and local collectors, the exhibition brings together the stories of the area’s trains, trams and the iconic cliff railway.

Visitors can explore a diverse range of exhibits—including a detailed LEGO model of the cliff railway—as well as interactive, hands‑on activities designed to engage all ages. Whether you’re a railway enthusiast, a local history fan, or a curious visitor, Torbay Tracks offers an enjoyable and informative journey through the Bay’s transport heritage.
