The Antikythera Mechanism
14th Feb 2024, 10:45 am
Torquay Museum Society Lecture by Roger Saunders
The Antikythera mechanism is a wonder, a mechanism of genius, a window into the ancient world, a severe shock to students of that world and a definite warning as to the fragility of knowledge. It is also an example of modern research and technology.
Lectures are free of charge to Torquay Museum Society Members but the general public are also welcome to attend - £5 per ticket, payable on the door.
