Torquay Museum boasts a small, but internationally important, collection of Fijian artefacts dating from the 19th century.

In Fiji, the pandanus palm is a useful raw material used to make a variety of objects such as clothing, mats and these fans, known as ‘Irubuli’, which can be seen in our Holden Gallery.
