Young Archaeologists Club

Young Archaeologists Club

With support from Council for British Archaeology, our staff and volunteers run the Torbay Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC), a club which gives young people the opportunity to get involved in a whole range of fantastic activities. From trying out prehistoric Bushcraft technicals, to archaeological digs on local sites, members can also take part in visits to historical places of interest.

YAC is the only UK-wide club for young people aged up to 17 interested in archaeology. YAC’s vision is for all young people to have the opportunity to be inspired and excited by archaeology, whilst empowering them to help shape its future.

Members receive a fantastic Young Archaeologist Magazine each quarter, packing for of news, activities and features, plus a YAC pass which enables free or discounted entrance to over 180 heritage sites nationwide! If you are interested, it's easy to join by visiting

Why not get involved? If you’d like to find out more, or if you’d like to come to any of the meetings, just send your parents permission form to Torquay Museum, contact us by phone or send an email to:
