Home Education - Christmas-y Toys from the Past Workshop
14th Dec 2023, 12:00 pm
Our workshop focuses on the different toys and games which children played with in the past including board games from Ancient Egypt and Tudor times. Children investigate the similarities and differences between toys today and those in the past and we encourage them to think about changes in living memory through handling and playing a variety of toys and games.
Children will also make their own Cup & Ball game, Angel Peg Doll figure, and sparkly Thaumatropes to take home.
The workshop is aimed at children aged 7 – 11 (KS2). Each family group requires a participating adult to remain with the children throughout.
