Torquay Museum Society Lecture by Peter Marshal
Satellites and space flight have become one of the biggest industries in the world, at nearly £400-billion annually, in the 66 years since those 'bleeps' from Sputnik. This 'non-technical' talk by a former journalist, then satellite industry executive, describes how it has developed to influence so many aspects of our lives.
Lectures are free of charge to Torquay Museum Society Members but the general public are also welcome to attend - £5 per ticket, payable on the door.
