Sound Communities, Hear & Now project – story recording days

As part of 'Sharing Stories' Festival, celebrating Storytelling and Writing on the English Riviera.

To celebrate 'World Book Day', Torbay Museums (Brixham Heritage Museum, Torre Abbey Museum and Torquay Museum) will be hosting a weekend of events, tours, talks and presentations with the theme of 'Sharing Stories'

Hear & Now is bringing people together over the next two years across Torbay to find and celebrate local stories in and about Torbay. All stories will be recorded, shared online, broadcast on radio stations and housed in listening pods in the main libraries in Torbay. This project is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and Ageing Well Torbay.

On Thursday 1st March 12pm to 4pm Hear & Now will be collecting stories in Brixham Museum from local storytellers.

On Saturday 3rd March 12pm to 3pm the Ocean Youth radio team will be collecting local stories and memories from and for families in the beach hut recording studio on the forecourt outside Torquay Museum.
